YEREVAN, November 18, /ARKA/. The chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) Arthur Javadyan left for Germany’s Frankfurt-am Main to participate in the 21st European Banking Congress, slated for November 17-20, the CBA said.

It said the gathering will discuss changing economic power, changing currency and changing financial markets. The key speakers are the President of the European Central Bank Mario Draghi, German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble, President of Bundesbank (German Federal Bank) Jens Weidmann along with senior representatives of IMF, EBRD, international banking corporations, research centers and institutes.

The Frankfurt European Banking Congress (EBC) premiered in 1991 on the initiative of the International Bankers Forum (IBF). The EBC aims at providing a forum for open and forward oriented discussion of European issues, their role in the world of politics and financial markets. European politics and finance are discussed by leading decision makers and eminent heads of state in three panel discussions. -0-
