Number of issued cards of anelik bank in 11 months of 2011 increased by a quarter

YEREVAN, December 29. /ARKA/. Bank Anelik registered in 11 months of 2011 growth of the number of issued cards making it 45 thousand drams which is by quarter more than the indicator of January 2011, press-service of the Bank informed ARKA News Agency.

Total amount of card operations increased by more than 35%.

“Bank Anelik, in accordance with its strategy, gives importance not only to quantitative growth of cards, but also increase of the number of real users”, said Head of Operation Management of plastic cards David Ananyan.

He said that the Bank attentively follows the latest news in the sphere of card security and offers its clients more protected cards, the example of which is Mastercard with DDA chip technology provided more than two years by the Bank.

“By the end of 2013, DDA technology has been introduced also in VISA cards issued by the Bank Anelik”, he said.

Bank Anelik cjsc was established in 1990. It is the only bank in Armenia which has an affiliate in Russian federation – “Anelik Ru” Ltd.

In 1997 the Bank established its own payment and settlement system “Anelik” which today operates in 63 thousand service points in 90 countries worldwide.

As of September 30, total capital of the Bank Anelik was 15.8 billion drams, assets – 67.8 billion drams, liabilities – over 52 billion drams. ($1-385.51 drams). –0–
