Aggregate trading in U.S. dollars at NASDAQ OMX ARMENIA in December 2011 amounted to $82.4 million

YEREVAN, January 12. /ARKA/. The combined volume of trading in U.S. dollars at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange in December 2011 amounted to approximately $82.4 million, an equivalent of 31.6 billion drams, according to an analysis made by ARKA. The figure represented a 30.26% increase ($19.2 million) as opposed to November. The total number of transactions in December decreased by 0.6% from November to 536.

The largest amount of transactions was on December 30 when approximately $10.6 million was traded and the smallest on December 22 ($1.5 million). During the reporting period no transactions in euro were effected.
