Armenia’s march auto lending falls 2.4% to AMD 16.8 bln

YEREVAN, May 10. /ARKA/. Armenia’s commercial banks allocated 16.8 billion drams in auto lending as of March 31 of 2012, reporting 2.4% drop from a month earlier, the data published in Armenia’s Central Bank website states.

In March 96.2% auto loans were distributed in Armenian national currency, that makes nearly 16.2 billion drams, down by 2.9 % from February.
At the sane time consumer lending within the reported period advanced by 2.1 % in March to 238.9 billion drams.

As of March 31 of 2012 there are 21 commercial banks registered in Armenia. ($1 – 392.47 drams). —0–

ARKA news agency has released a ranking of the most profitable commercial banks in Armenia in 2024.

ADB invested $132 million in Armenia in 2024 and approved financing for  two projects in 2025 worth $307 million

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) invested $132 million in Armenia in 2024, of which $96.7 million was invested in the public sector, $30 million in private sector projects, and $5.3 million in technical assistance, Narine Mehrabyan, ADB Public Relations and Communications Officer, told ARKA.
