Average interest rates on AMD loans lose 0.6 p.p. to 16.4% in April

YEREVAN, June 15. /ARKA/. Average interest rate on loans in Armenian national currency dram slashed by 0.6 p.p. to 16.4% in April of this year from March, according to data published on the website of Armenian Central Bank.

Average interest rate on loans in foreign currency shrank by 0.1 p.p. to 13.6% in April from March.
At the same time interest rate for legal entities tumbled by 0.2 p.p. to 12.1% within the reported period.

According to the source, average interest rate on loans for individuals in Armenia decreased by 0.5 p.p. to 18%.

As of April 30 of 2012 there are 21 commercial banks in Armenia ($1 – 415.12 drams).—0–
