Armenian commercial banks buy nearly $75.8 mln at local forex market last week

YEREVAN, June 25. /ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks bought nearly $75.8 million at the local forex market on June 18-22 at the average exchange rate of 415.63 drams per $1, the Central Bank of Armenia told ARKA.

It said the banks bought also over 7.9 million euros at 523.55 drams exchange rate per €1 and nearly 711 million rubles at 12.66 drams rate per 1 ruble. In the same time span the banks sold nearly $88.7 million at 416.79 drams rate, about €14.5 million at 527.51 drams exchange rate and over 101.6 million rubles at 12.86 drams exchange rate per 1 ruble.

Besides, from June 11 to June 17 the banks provided 29.6 billion drams in loans and $34.8 million loans in USD. ($1 –418.54 drams).—0–
