Surplus earnings of Armenian banks in the first four months slash 20.4%

YEREVAN, June 25. /ARKA/. Surplus earnings of 21 Armenian commercial banks in the first four months of 2012 dropped by 20.4% from a year earlier to 8.2 billion drams, the Central Bank of Armenia reported.

It said their aggregate assets surged by 4.4% in April as opposed to March to 2.1 trillion drams. Their total liabilities are said to have grown by 5.4$ from March to 1.8 trillion drams. Their balance capital dropped by 0.5 percent to 361.4 billion drams. ($1 – 418.63 drams). -0-
