Armenian Banks purchase over $77.7mln last week

YEREVAN, November 12. /ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks purchased more than 77.7mln dollars at an average weighted exchange rate of 407.15drams per USD on intra-banking foreign exchange market from November 5 to November 9, the press service of Armenia’s Central Bank reported.

Over the same period, the banks obtained about 7.1mln euros and about 768mln rubles at an average weighted rate of 520.13 drams per euro and 12.85 drams per ruble respectively.

The banks sold 83.8mln dollars, over 11.4mln euros and about 120.3mln rubles at an average weighted rate of 408.34 drams, 523.58 drams and 13.04 drams respectively.

Over the period from October 29 to November 4, dram loans extended by Armenian banks totaled 40.8bln drams, and dollar loans were 54mln dollars. ($1=408.91drams). –0—
