Some 1.7bln drams traded at NASDAQ OMX Armenia in Q3

YEREVAN, December 4. /ARKA/. The total amount of purchase/sale transactions at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange amounted to 1.7bln drams, an increase of 50.3% against Q2, Armenia’s National Statistical Service reported.

Total amount of REPO transactions was 242.3mln drams by the end of September, an increase of 30.4% against the end of June. Total amounts for other transactions were as follows: shares – 41.8mln drams (19.9% decline against Q2), government bonds – about 1.3bln drams (69.6% increase), corporate bonds – 148mln drams (2.7% increase).

According to the official data, a total of 102 transactions were effected in the third quarter against 70 transactions in Q2; 14 organizations were registered and listed by the end of Q2 against 13 in the quarter before.

Amount of transactions effected by investors totaled 916.5bln drams by the end of September 2012.
The National Statistical Service says there were 9 investment companies and 14 security issuers as of the end of September.
