Number of ATMs in Armenia grows to 1,123

YEREVAN, December 14. / ARKA /. The number of ATMs installed in Armenia by commercial banks reached 1,123 at the end of September, an increase of 29 in the third quarter, according to the Central Bank of Armenia.

It said also the number of operating  POS terminals at the end of the third quarter increased by 217 to  6,202.

According to Central Bank, of 21 banks only 19 issue and service plastic cards. These 19 banks are members of Armenian Card  (ArCa) payment system.  -0-
