Armenia’s commercial banks purchased $144.7 mln last week

YEREVAN, December 28. /ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks purchased over $144.7 million at an average weighted rate of 402.88 drams per $1 from 24 to 28 December in intra-banking market of foreign currency, the press service of Armenia’s Central Bank reports on Friday.

At the same period, the banks obtained nearly 17.1 million euros and over 1.1 billion rubles at an average weighted rate of 532.08 drams per €1 and 12.99 drams per 1 ruble respectively.

The banks sold over $182.7 million, about €17.1 million and nearly 155.6 million rubles at average weighted rates of 404.47 drams, 534.74 drams and 13.24 drams respectively.

Moreover, from 17 to 23 December the volume of AMD loans provided by the Armenian banks totaled 50.3 billion drams, and USD loans- $51.5 million. ($1 – 403.58 drams).—
