Last week’s forex transactions at NASDAQ OMX ARMENIA total $16.3 million

YEREVAN, January 29. /ARKA/. Dollar-dram exchange transactions made at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange over a period between January 21 and 25 totaled about $16.3 million against $5.15 between January 14 and 18, the press office of the Central Bank of Armenia reports.
The U.S. dollar traded at 405.81 drams, on average, at the stock exchange the last week. No deals on the euro and the Russian ruble were effected here at the mentioned period.

NASDAQ OMX Armenia (former Armenian Stock Exchange, Armex), was established in 2001 as a voluntary merger of broker (dealer) companies.

In January 2008, Nordic exchange operator OMX Group acquired 100% of shares of the Armenian Stock Exchange (Armex) and the Central Depository of Armenia (CDA). After NASDAQ and OMX merged in March 2008, Armex and CDA have become fully owned by the NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc.
