Converse Bank awards special prize to its 100th cardholder

YEREVAN, April 11. /ARKA/. Converse Bank has awarded a special prize to Bagdasar Voskanyan, its 100th cardholder, the press office of the bank told ARKA News Agency.

Arthur Hakobyan, the first deputy executive director of Converse Bank, stressing the importance of cashless transactions in the payment system, said: “We are constantly expanding the plastic card servicing network, and thanks to that, the number of cardholders is growing along with the number of the bank’s clients.”

He said that this fact shows the growing confidence of clients into the bank.

The number of plastic cards provided by the Converse Bank to clients reached 100,000 in late December 2012 after growing 90% over the year.

Converse Bank was registered on December 20, 1993.

In February 2007, Eduardo Eurnekian, an Argentine entrepreneur of Armenian descent, bought 95% of the bank’s shares.

The remaining 5% belong to Armenian Apostolic Church. —0—
