Armenia’s credit organizations allocated AMD 117.3 bln in loans late February

YEREVAN, April 12. /ARKA/. Armenia’s credit organizations distributed 117.3 billion drams in loans as of late February 2013 (disregarding the accrued interest), which was 2.9 percent higher, from January, according to the monthly newsletter of the Central Bank of Armenia.

Lending to households hiked by 3.3 percent in February from January to 84 billion drams.
In addition, household lending accounted for 71.7% of credit organizations’ loans injected to economy. The newsletter says 60.5 billion drams were allocated in the national currency, AMD, and 23.6 billion drams –in foreign currencies.

Lending to enterprises rose to 31.7 billion drams in February from January’s 31 billion drams (3 percent upturn).  It is said to account for 27% of all loans distributed by credit organizations, of them 12.1 billion drams were allocated in Armenia’s national currency, and 19.6 billion drams –in foreign currencies.

As of 28 February 2013 there are 32 credit organizations in Armenia.  ($1 – 418.02 drams). —0-
