Number of commercial banks’ clients in Armenia shrinks 6.4% over June 2014 to 1.9 million

YEREVAN, September 4. /ARKA/. The number of commercial banks’ clients in Armenia contracted by 6.4% over June 2014 to 1,915,274 by the end of the month, the National Statistical Service reports.

The country’s commercial banks had 72,654 corporate clients and 1,842,620 individual clients in late June.

They had 3,261,658 accounts (6.8% reduction over the month) – 3,098,643 belonging to individuals and 163,015 to corporate clients.

According to the statistical report, balances on the population’s deposits in banks totaled AMD 847.9 billion in late July after growing 0.4% or by AMD 3536 million over the month and 17.9% or by AMD 128716 million, compared with the same month a year before. ($1 – AMD 410.15). –0–
