Dollar to start going up in September – Armenian economist

YEREVAN, August 4. /ARKA/. The US dollar will start going up in September 2015, Vilen Khachatryan, an economist, said on Tuesday.

He told journalists that the U.S. Federal Reserve deterred the dollar from rising for some time.
“But forecasts are already being heard that interest rates will be going up over a period between September and December, and this will drive the dollar up. This will impact the global economy,” Khachatryan said.

In his words, the fall in oil prices and the expected return of Iran to the world market when economic sanctions are lifted will drive the dollar up as well.

Khachatryan said the euro is now stable against the dollar, but the European Central Bank is releasing more than €60 billion every month, and this will drive the European currency to devaluation.
“There is also a Greek factor, and adverse developments around it will force investors to reject the euro,” he said. —-0—-
