Average nominal salary in Armenia’s financial sector sheds 0.9% to AMD 350,305

YEREVAN, December 1. /ARKA/. The average nominal monthly salary in Armenia’s finance and insurance sectors, which are singled out for the highest salaries paid to their employees, went 0.9% down in September 2015, compared with September 2014, to AMD 350,305, the National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.

Salaries at information and communication technology segments and in mining industry were high as well – the average salaries here were AMD 388,100 and AMD 342,700 respectively.

The lowest paid employees were in culture and leisure (AMD 115,000), other services (AMD 116,900), education (AMD 118,000), housing and utilities services (AMD 121,700) and agriculture with forestry and fishery (AMD 121,600).

The average nominal monthly salary in Armenia amounted to AMD 183,116 in September showing a 0.1% month-on-month decline and 6.2% year-on-year growth.

The highest nominal monthly salary was recorded in Syunik province – AMD 212,600, and the lowest salary in Arargatsotn – about AMD 123,500.

The average salary in Yerevan amounted to AMD 198,800 in September 2015.

According preliminary figures, the average nominal salary in Armenia was AMD 184,615 ($391) in October 2015 – 0.8% higher than in September 2015. ($1 – AMD 482.81). M.V.—-0—–
