Central bank to shut down six departments

YEREVAN, October 20. /ARKA/. A local daily ‘Hraparak’ (Square) says in its today’s issue that Armenia’s Central Bank will eliminate six departments before December 2016 and consequently layoffs are expected.

The daily says it is not known who of the staff will be cut. Meanwhile, in response to a question from the newspaper, the deputy chairman of the Central Bank Nerses Yeritsyan said he had no such information. -0-

Deposits in Armenian banks at the end of 2024 amounted to AMD 6.46 trillion

The amount of deposits in Armenia's commercial banks stood at AMD 6,463,958 million at the end of December 2024 against AMD 5,960,193 million at the end of September, according to the National Statistical Committee.
