Around $94.1 million bought by Armenian banks last week

YEREVAN, August 7. /ARKA/. Armenia’s commercial banks bought around $94.1 million from the local foreign currency market on July 28 to August 4 at the average weighted exchange rate of 477.84 drams per one USD, the Central Bank of Armenia reported on Monday.

It said the banks also bought 12 million euros and 1.3 billion Russian rubles at the average weighted exchange rates of 560.73 and 7.91 drams per one euro and one ruble respectively.

The banks also sold about $86.47 million, € 14.5 million and 510.8 million rubles at average weighted exchange rates of 479.25, 566.85 and 8 drams respectively.

No dollar exchange transactions have been effected at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange over the mentioned period.

In addition, from July 24 to 30, the banks provided 38.7 billion drams worth loans in the national currency and $56 million worth loans in USD. ($ 1- AMD 478.77 drams). –0—-
