Twelve-month inflation in September rises by 3.5 percent

YEREVAN, October 4. /ARKA/. Armenian consumer prices in September 2018 were 3.5% higher from September 2017, according to the latest numbers, released by the National Statistical Committee (NSC).

During the reporting period, prices for food products (including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products) increased by 5.3%, while prices for non-food products and services increased by 3.9% and 0.7%, respectively.

In 2018 September, compared with the previous month, consumer prices rose by 0.3%, which was triggered by a rise in prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages by 1.2%.

At the same time, in January-September 2018 prices increased by 2.6% when compared with January-September 2017. The government-projected inflation rate for 2018 is 4% (± 1.5%). -0-
