ACBA Leasing cjsc awarded Excellent Impact Award by EBRD for supporting green investment in renewable energy

YEREVAN, February 20. / ARKA /. ACBA Leasing CJSC has been given the Excellent Impact Award by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for supporting green investment in renewable energy.

The awards to financial institutions, suppliers and producers of green technologies were handed during a February 19 ceremony held to launch the new Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF) program in Armenia.

“Within the framework of the program we have funded the acquisition of energy-saving, as well as renewable energy equipment and fixed assets. Financing of green economies is one of the priorities of our company,’ said ACBA Leasing CEO Arsen

According to him, ACBA Leasing CJSC has started financing green projects together with EBRD under the Green Leasing subbrand through about a $2.5 million fund that later was supplemented by another $4 million.

‘Now, after the completion of negotiations with our partner, it has been decided to provide ACBA Leasing with another $2 million financing. More than 40 projects have already been implemented in all regions of Armenia. As a member of ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE financial group, we have great opportunities to provide funding through 59 branches of ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK,” said Arsen Bazikyan.

Under Green Leasing subbrand ACBA Leasing, has implemented over 800 projects since 2014 having invested more than $20 million in Armenia.
