Farmers in Armenia may get loans at 3-5% interest rate

YEREVAN, March 14. /ARKA/. As part of a government program on subsidizing interest rates, farmers and agricultural cooperatives can get loans at the interest rate of up to 5%, the Ministry of Agriculture of Armenia said.

It said if the beneficiaries of the program decide to unite in cooperatives, they will be able to receive agricultural loans at the rate of 3%. Loans to farmers and cooperatives in border areas will be provided at a zero interest rate.

The loan amount varies from 3 to 15 million drams, and the repayment period is 5 years. ($ 1 – AMD 487.35) .– 0–
