Deposits in Armenian banks drop by 25 billion drams to about 3 trillion

YEREVAN, May 2. / ARKA /. At the end of March, 2019 the total amount of deposits in Armenia-based commercial banks stood at 2.979.3 trillion drams, having decreased by 25.1 billion drams or 0.84% from the previous month.

According to the Central Bank, resident deposits in late March stood at 2.227.6 trillion drams, a decline of 0.96% from late February.

It said also that during the reporting period, deposits in Armenian drams increased by 0.4% to 1.076.3 trillion drams, while foreign currency deposits decreased by 2.23% to the equivalent of 1.151.3 trillion drams.

The non-resident deposits at the end of March 2019 stood at 751.7 billion drams, a decline of 0.46% from the previous month). ($ 1 – 480.48 drams). -0-
