New member elected to Armenian central bank’s board

YEREVAN, July 16. /ARKA/. Members of the National Assembly of Armenia elected Thursday in a secret ballot a new member of the Board of the Central Bank of Armenia.

The ruling My Step faction nominated Hovhannes Khachatryan for this post.

Vahagn Hovakimyan, Chairman of the Counting Commission of the Armenian Parliament, said that 94 deputies took part in the vote, 92 of them voted for the candidate, and 2 against.

Khachatryan worked at the Central Bank for a long time, and in recent years he worked at Ameriabank. -0-
