Armenia projects 7% growth for 2023- Prime Minister

YEREVAN, January 10. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said today the country’s economy is expected to grow 7% in 2023.

“For 2023, we envision 7% economic growth, and we must work to ensure this minimum growth,” he said during a press conference on Tuesday.

The prime minister noted that the original growth projection for 2022 was 7%, but it turned out to be around 13%. The growth was driven by the arrival of thousands of Russian nationals.

According to forecasts, the country’s GDP in 2022 will be 12.5-13%,” Pashinyan said, stressing the important role of the Russians.

Earlier Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan stated that Armenia will close 2022 with a real economic growth of 13-14%.-0-
