Russian Central Bank registers new Kwikpay int’l remittance system

YEREVAN, August 29. /ARKA/.  The Central Bank of Russia (CBR) has registered the new Kwikpay international remittance system, the regulator said on Monday

The website of the payment system indicates that users have access to cross-border remittances to Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey and 32 other countries.

According to forbes.ru, Kwikpay accepts Mir, Visa, and MasterCard cards. Without opening a bank account customers can transfer money in rubles, dollars, and euros.

Other transfers, including through the units of bank payment agents, replenishment of bank cards, account replenishment, e-wallet, are available only in rubles. The commission is 0-5% of the transfer amount.

The Kwikpay website states that its application is available in AppStore and Google Play. However, there are no links to them on the site; Forbes was not able to find the application in both stores.

The system was entered into the register of the Central Bank on August 25; its operator is LLC “Pipe SIV”. -0-

The combined loan portfolio of 17 Armenia-based commercial banks upped  by 6.11% in Q2 2025 compared to Q1 2025, amounting to AMD 6.82 trillion, according to a ranking compiled by  the ARKA news agency.
