FINTECH360 international conference held in Yerevan with the support of Unibank

YEREVAN, November 2. /ARKA/. In late October, 2023 Yerevan hosted the international conference FINTECH360, where experts from different countries discussed the latest trends and best practices of digital transformation.

The conference was held with the support of Unibank OJSC, Kwikpay payment system and NABIX company in the hall of Holiday Inn Yerevan Republic Square Hotel.

Armen Nurbekyan, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia, Nerses Yeritsyan, Director of the Information Systems Agency of Armenia, and Gagik Zakaryan, Unibank Board Chairman, delivered welcoming remarks.

Customer behavior and loyalty management was the most discussed topic at the conference. A special panel discussion was dedicated to this topic, which also looked into the development of banking ecosystems and BNPL services.

The conference participants discussed how banks are changing with the emergence of new technologies based on the open finance model and what role banks and fintech will play in the future.

The agenda of FINTECH360 also included such topics as the role of human capital in product development and what competencies should be identified and trained to develop new business lines, digital customer profile and how to build onboarding of banking product customers and retain them for a long time, UI/UX of digital products, current trends in investment technologies, venture capital and the new generation of technology startups, as well as mobile applications for investment and development of brokerage services.

Shalva Meladze, President of Kwikpay payment system, in his speech presented the prospects of development of product lines of payment systems and the possibilities of Kwikpay mobile application as a universal and convenient online platform.

Secretary General of the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges Konstantin Saroyan held a panel discussion on “ESG and transition to green finance”, in which Mesrop Hakobyan, Chairman of the Management Board of Unibank, also took part. He presented the experience of Unibank on the way to ESG-transformation, emphasizing the importance of systematic development of all three areas – Environmental, Social, Governance.

About 200 representatives of banks, payment systems, fintech companies, startups and specialized associations took part in FINTECH360. The rich business agenda was followed by by the cultural program, which included excursions and tasting of national dishes and drinks. -0-
