Central Bank of Armenia cuts refinancing rate by 0.25 p.p. to 9.25%

YEREVAN, December 12. /ARKA/. The Board of the Central Bank of Armenia today lowered the refinancing rate by 0.25 percentage point, setting it at 9.25%, the regulator’s press service reported.

The board also lowered the lombard repo rate to 10.75%. The rate, at which local commercial banks raise loans from the Central Bank, was lowered to 7.75%.

This is the fifth lowering of the refinancing rate since the beginning of the year. The previous lowering was on October 31, when it was cut by 0.25 p.p. to 9.5%. –0–
