Armenian Banks Contribute AMD 28.3 Billion in Taxes During Q1 2025

YEREVAN, April 25. /ARKA/. In the first quarter of 2025, all 18 commercial banks in Armenia ranked among the top 1,000 taxpayers, collectively contributing AMD 28.3 billion in taxes and duties, as reported by the State Revenue Committee.

Tax authorities collected approximately AMD 27.7 billion, while customs agencies collected AMD 609.1 million. Specifically, banks paid AMD 11.1 billion in profit tax, AMD 13.1 billion in income tax, AMD 1.3 billion in VAT, and AMD 2.7 billion in other taxes and duties.

The leading banks in tax contributions were Ameriabank with AMD 3.44 billion (ranked 12th), Ardshinbank with AMD 3.33 billion (16th), IDBank with AMD 3.27 billion (17th), ACBA Bank with AMD 3.27 billion (18th), and ArmSwissBank with AMD 2.20 billion (29th). Additionally, the Central Bank contributed a total of 636.5 million drams in taxes.

According to official reports, Armenia’s top 1,000 taxpayers paid over AMD 490.3 billion in taxes and customs payments during the first quarter of 2025. Gazprom Armenia topped the list with a payment of AMD 19.9 billion, followed by Mobile Center Art at AMD 16.6 billion and Grand Tobacco at AMD 12.1 billion. ($1 – AMD 390.33)
