EDB expects consumer price growth in Armenia to remain at around 3±1%

YEREVAN, May 12. /ARКА/. The EDB expects consumer price growth in Armenia to remain close to the target of 3±1%, according to the bank’s weekly macro review.

As noted in the review, inflation in Armenia amounted to 3.2% y/y in April after 3.3% y/y in March.

“A slight slowdown is due to the dynamics of prices for food products (+5.2% y/y in April after 5.4% y/y a month earlier), services (+2.7% y/y in April after 2.9% y/y a month earlier) and goods in the non-food segment (-0.5% y/y in April, as in the previous month),” EDB analysts note.
