Acba Bank to contribute to digitalization and development of the agricultural sector in Armenia

YEREVAN, July 28. /ARКА/. What will “smart” and innovative agriculture in Armenia be like in the near future?

At the Sevan AgriTech Summit, organized by Acba Bank as the general partner, innovations meet modern experience in agriculture, forming joint solutions for the future. On the platform, the most important problems of the industry, from climate change to the revival of farms, were discussed with startups interested in the development of agriculture. Possible solutions were identified.

Acba Bank, being a leader in financing the agricultural sector in Armenia, presented its digital tools, financing opportunities and programs that allow everyone involved in agriculture, regardless of their location, to have equal conditions and access to innovative solutions.

“Acba was also a startup 30 years ago. Back then, our startup was just an idea, but today, Acba is one of the leading and stable financial institutions in Armenia, playing an important role not only in financing the country’s agricultural sector, but also in economic development. I would like to tell the youth: be inspired by good examples, move forward and know that we will support those who want to engage in agriculture,” said Acba Bank CEO Hakob Andreasyan.

At the AgriTech Summit event in Sevan, special attention was paid to education and opportunities for attracting young specialists. Guillaume Lefebvre, CEO of the French Crédit Agricole Group IFCAM University, notes that in order to withstand change, it is necessary to invest in the education of both young and experienced farmers. Acba Bank can play a key role in creating a connection between generations.

“Today, we live in a changing world that poses new challenges to all sectors of the economy around the world. Digital solutions play an important role in overcoming all these difficulties, helping farmers manage their farms more efficiently,” said Suren Hovhannisyan, Head of Branch Management Department at ACBA Bank.

The bank is controlled by the Central Bank of Armenia.
