Measures to encourage cashless transactions discussed in Armenia

YEREVAN, August 28. /ARКА/. The Armenian government, chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, convened a meeting yesterday to deliberate on initiatives aimed at promoting cashless transactions, the government press service reported.

The presentation included mechanisms and impact assessments related to the measures for stimulating cashless transactions. A discussion ensued regarding the fundamental principles of cashback from transactions and the primary objectives of implementing cashback for cashless commerce.

Pashinyan directed that a pilot launch of the system be conducted at the initial phase, and based on the outcomes, further actions should be defined to ensure a coordinated and thorough implementation.-0-
