“Symphonic Lullabies” by Armenian composers will be performed for children around the world

YEREVAN, October 29. /ARKA/. Quiet, heartfelt, and melodic: the recording and presentation of the album “Symphonic Lullabies” took place in collaboration with Acba Bank, the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, and the State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia.

The album includes lullaby arrangements of works by Komitas, Alexander Spendiaryan, Aram Khachaturian, Edward Mirzoyan, Arno Babajanyan, Barsegh Kanachyan, Romanos Melikyan, as well as folk songs performed by the State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia.

“We advocate for the promotion of classical music. What distinguishes this project is its focus on children globally. I extend my gratitude to our collaborators, Maestro Sergey Smbatyan and his entire orchestra, as well as the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, for bringing this initiative to fruition,” remarked Acba Bank CEO Hakob Andreasyan.

The album was produced using funds generated from non-cash transactions by Acba Bank charitable Visa cardholders, which the bank allocates to the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund to support sustainable and promising initiatives in Armenia.

“Today, we celebrate a completed project, a successful collaboration, and the chance to present such masterpieces to the audience. This album will be distributed not only within Armenia but also among the Diaspora, enhancing the appreciation of Armenian national classical music and fostering a generation with refined tastes and a deeper interest in classical music,” stated Zaruhi Aznauryan, Acting Director of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund.

“Lullabies represent the sole format that enables us to dream. That is why we chose to reinterpret and adapt the melodies of our most esteemed composers into lullabies. Lullabies serve as our means of connecting with children,” expressed Sergey Smbatyan, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra.

The album aimed at young audiences is now accessible on over 40 music platforms.

ACBA Bank operates under the supervision of the Central Bank of Armenia.
