Armenia’s total public debt at the end of 2025 stood at $14.5 billion, up 13.1%

YEREVAN, January 19. /ARKA/. As of December 31, 2025, Armenia’s total public debt was recorded at $14,531.3 million, an increase from $12,842.2 million on December 31, 2024, according to data from the Ministry of Finance. This marks a 13.1% rise over the year.

By the end of December 2025, the public debt had risen by 2.3% compared to $14,204.2 million on November 30, 2025.

As of December 31, 2025, the total debt structure included $7,036.6 million in external debt (up from $6,454.2 million at the end of December 2024 and $6,800.0 million at the end of November 2025), while domestic debt stood at $7,494.7 million, compared to $6,388.1 million as of December 31, 2024, and $7,404.2 million as of November 30, 2025.

In terms of drams, Armenia’s total public debt as of December 31, 2025, was 5,541.7 billion drams, an increase from 5,092.7 billion drams on December 31, 2024.

At the end of the reporting month, external debt was 2,683.5 billion drams (up from 2,559.5 billion drams at the end of December 2024), while internal debt amounted to 2,858.2 billion drams (compared to 2,533.3 billion drams at the end of December 2024).-0-
