VTB (Armenia) launches MIR travel card for convenient payments and money transfers between Russia and Armenia

YEREVAN, January 22. /ARKA/. VTB (Armenia) has launched the MIR Travel multicurrency card, designed for customers who regularly travel to Russia, work, or study there.

The new product provides access to funds in two currencies, convenient cashless payments, and favorable cross-border money transfers, according to the bank’s press service.

MIR Travel is a multicurrency card: holders simultaneously have access to accounts in Armenian drams and Russian rubles. This allows for flexible fund management and transactions without additional conversions.

The key feature of the MIR Travel card is the ability to link an additional card to the same accounts (up to two cards). Customers can top up the card in rubles free of charge in Russia, while additional card holders can instantly withdraw funds from the additional card in Armenian drams. Money transfers between cards and top-ups at all Russian ATMs are available 24/7 and commission-free, making the service as cost-effective and convenient as possible.

MIR Travel is accepted throughout the Russian Federation, allowing customers to easily use it for cashless payments for goods and services, including online purchases.

“We are seeing high demand for advantageous and convenient financial solutions for customers who live, work, or study in Russia. The MIR Travel card combines the key needs of these users – cashless payments, free transfers, and 24/7 access to funds. Our goal is to provide maximum convenience for everyday financial transactions, regardless of the country of residence,” commented Taras Kladchenko, Deputy CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of VTB (Armenia).

To apply for the card, one should provide a passport and social security card. When opening an additional card in the name of a third party, you must provide their identity document.

One can quickly manage their funds through the Mobile Bank app, which is available in your preferred language, ensuring complete control over your finances at any time.

The MIR Travel card can be ordered directly through the bank’s website, by calling the Contact Center at 8787, or at any branch. Detailed information on rates and terms of service can be found on the official VTB (Armenia) website.
