Inflation of 4.2% recorded in Armenia in May

YEREVAN, June 3. /ARKA/. In Armenia, 12-month inflation in the consumer market in May of this year amounted to 4.2%, according to a report from the Statistical Committee of Armenia.

Furthermore, deflation of 0.8% was observed in May compared to April of the same year.

At the same time, prices increased by 4.5% in January-May 2026 compared to the same period in 2025.

Inflation is projected at 3% (±1%) in the 2026 state budget of Armenia. According to the Central Bank’s monetary policy report for the first quarter of this year, inflation in Armenia is expected to be 4.4-3.3% by the end of 2026, depending on scenario (A-B), the forecast for 2027 is 3.5-3.1%, and for 2028 – 3.2-3.1%.
