Pashinyan: Armenian citizens received 95 billion drams in income tax refunds in 2025, and 78.6 billion drams in 2026

YEREVAN, November 2. /ARKA/. In 2025, Armenian citizens received 95 billion drams (approximately $263 million) in income tax refunds on mortgage loans, and 78.6 billion drams since the beginning of 2026. This was announced by RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday at a joint meeting of the standing committees of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, dedicated to the preliminary discussion of the draft state budget for 2027.

According to him, these funds are aimed at ensuring the well-being of individual citizens and their families, in particular through the acquisition of housing.

In this context, Pashinyan also touched on the welfare model, which, according to him, underlies the government’s activities and the ideology of the political team he leads, and outlined his vision of a model of dignified living.

“The model of dignified living is work. There is no more effective model of dignified living, at least in our understanding. Although there may be people who believe, for example, that theft can be a model of dignified living, or tax evasion, or plundering the country can be such a model,” Pashinyan said.

The Prime Minister emphasized that “the model we represent is work, and this is our message to every citizen of Armenia.”

“But the means to make work effective is education. Our comprehensive model is as follows: education, work, continuous development of knowledge and skills, and welfare,” he said.
