Outstanding credits of Armenian commercial banks grew by 5.6 billion drams to 9 billion drams

YEREVAN, December 7, /ARKA/. The outstanding credits of Armenian commercial banks grew by 2.7 times from the beginning of the year or by 5.6 billion Drams, amounting to 9 billion Drams at the end of Q3, the Central Bank of Armenia said in its monthly bulletin.

The share of overdue credits made 1.3% of all credits at the end of Q3 rising by 0.8 percentage point from the beginning of the year.

Term credits grew by 8.9% from the beginning of the year to 684.4 billion Drams or 96% of all credit investments. The volume of prolonged credits rose by 5.2 times from the beginning of the year to 19.5 billion Drams or 2.7% of all credit investments.

Overall Armenian banks’ credits at the end of Q3 totaled 712.8 billion Drams, up from 635.8 billion Drams from the beginning of the year. Short-term credits made 24.4%, falling from 24.9% at the beginning of the year, while long-term credits rose from 75.1% to 75.6%. ($1 – 385.21 Drams.-0-
