Consumer prices rise 0.3% in Feb 2010 as Armenian dram slips 0.7% against dollar

YEREVAN, March 1. /ARKA/. Consumer prices rose 0.3% in February 2010, compared with January, as Armenian national currency weakened 0.7% against the U.S. dollar.

Compared with December 2009, consumer prices climbed 2% and the currency exchange rate remained unchanged.

Consumer prices slipped 0.7% and Armenian dram strengthened 0.8% against the dollar in February 2010, compared with the same month a year before.

In February 2010, exchange rate averaged AMD 380.28 per one dollar – 24.5% higher than that of the same month a year earlier (AMD 305.47). -0—
