Insurance Amounts Of Armenian Insurance Companies Made 3250.3 Billion Drams In Q3

YEREVAN, November 1. /ARKA/. Insurance amounts of Armenian insurance companies made 3250.3 billion drams in the 3rd quarter of 2010.

According to CB Armenia, total volume of insurance payments was 6.6 billion drams in the 3rd quarter increased by 43.2% compared with the 2nd quarter of 2010. 3.1 billion drams was given to re-insurers from this amount.

Volume of insurance payments was 1324 million drams in the reporting period compared with the previous quarter of 2010 – 69.3%. The share of re-insurance in the volume of insurance payments was 415 million drams.

Volume of insurance reserves of insurance companies was 2917 million drams as of September 30, 2010 versus 2865 million drams in the second quarter.

There are 11 insurance companies in Armenia as of September 30, 2010. Control over the insurance market of Armenia is implemented by CB Armenia since January 1, 2006 which has a system of united financial control. ($1 – 357.98 drams). –0–
