Index of economic activeness of Armenia in the 4th quarter increased by 114.5%

YEREVAN, December 21. /ARKA/. Index of economic activeness in the forth quarter of 2010 in Armenia increased by 14.5% versus 2009.

The given indicator reduced by 27% compared with the third quarter.

According to the data of CB Armenia the index of business environment increased making 107.7% and index of consumers’ trust made 108.03%.

Index of economic activeness is calculated on the basis of averaged method of assessment and expectations of respondents regarding the volumes and orders of production and expected changes of industrial supplies. Index of consumers’ trust is the average arithmetical response of consumers (households) relative to their expectations in the change of income. Expenses and employment level, as well as current economic situation. Index of business environment is calculated by the averaged assessments of organizations relative to the changes of total economic situation and risks.

From the beginning of 2005 CB Armenia is conducting quarterly enquiries of non-financial, financial organizations and households. The goal of the enquiries is to assess the changes in current economic situation compared with the previous period, calculate and publish compound economic indices on the basis of the enquiries. –0-
