€41 million received in Armenia from Netherlands for 14 years in grants

YEREVAN, April 21. /ARKA/. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, at his meeting with Chairman of the National Bank of the Netherlands Nout Wellink, thanked the Dutch government for the €41 million provided to Armenia between 1996 and 2010 in grants. He also stressed the importance of cooperation between the two countries’ central banks.

Sargsyan said that the Netherlands has done a significant job while chairing WB and IMF subgroup for 18 years.

Wellink, on his part, said that Armenia, a member of this subgroup, has always cooperated with chair country and other member countries.

He said he remembered his first visit to Armenia in 2007 with pleasure. He said his visit had bee useful.

Wellink also said that cooperation with Armenia within the Netherland’s WB and IMF group is effective as well. -0-
