The volume of deposits attracted by Armenian banks increased by 4.9% to 754.9 billion drams in March

YEREVAN, April 29. /ARKA/. In March, Armenian commercial banks attracted deposits in the amount of about 754.9 billion drams which is by 4.9% more than last month.

As noted in the report of the Central Bank of Armenia, deposits of residents in drams and foreign currency were 629.4 billion drams

(83.4% from total amount of attracted deposits) and deposits from non-residents were 125.4 billion drams – 16.6% from total deposits.

It is worth mentioning that residents in March made deposits by foreign currency.

Thus, by the end of March, deposits in foreign currency were 412.8 billion drams (65.6% of all attracted deposits of residents) which is more by 5.3% than the last month. In March, the residents invested (34.4% of all attracted deposits of residents) which is more by 3% than in February.
Non-residents made foreign currency deposits in the amount of 117.4 billion drams and 7.9 billion drams – in dram deposits. ($1 – 371.18 drams). –0–
