Dollar rate to AMD in Armenia reduces, but the experts forecast rate increase in the next week

YEREVAN, August 12. /ARKA/. In NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange weighted average rate of US dollar by the results of August 11 dropped by 0.65 points making 368.35 drams per $1. Experts forecast increase of rate in the next week.

Dynamics of dollar/dram rate increase is observed from August 2. If on July 29 (previous working day) the rate was 363 drams per dollar, on August 9 it increased to 369.13 drams. Thus, from July 29 to August 9 the dollar rate in the stock exchange of Armenia increased by 6.13 points.

The experts consider that the increase of dollar rate in the Armenian stock exchange is related to the adoption of the law on the increase of upper limit of external debt of USA after which the trust to the dollar has been restored to some extent.

From August 10 weighted average US dollar rate in NASDAQ OMX started to decrease. On August 11 the rate was 368.35 drams $1.

Analyst of FOREX Club Mikayel Verdyan said to the news agency “ARKA” that decrease of the rate is mainly conditioned by two factors – debt problems of EC causing uncertainty among market agents and technical adjustment in the Armenian stock exchange.

Verdyan also forecasts that next week increase of weighted average dollar rate is expected in NASDAQ OMX Armenia between 369.5-370 drams per $1.  –0—
