Growth of crediting of industry by Armenian banks in the third quarter was 2.3%

YEREVAN, November 16. /ARKA/. Volume of crediting of industrial sphere by Armenian commercial banks in the third quarter of 2011 increased by 2.3% making 225.9 billion drams.

According to financial progress reports of the banks for the third quarter of 2011, volume of credits provided to the economy as of September 30, 2011 was about 1 152 billion drams vs. 1 083 billion drams as of June 30, 2011.

According to the analysis of ARKA News Agency, the leader in the banking system on crediting the industrial sphere in the reporting period was Ameriabank, whose share in the total volume of crediting of the given sector was 21%. In total credit portfolio of Ameriabank about 36.8% or 47.4 billion drams goes to the crediting of industry (42.9 billion drams as of September 30, 2010).

Among the leader banks by this indicator are also Areximbank-Group of Gazprombank (26.5 billion drams), AGBA CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK (22.9 billion drams), HSBC Bank Armenia (about 20.7 billion drams) and Unibank (about 17.7 billion drams). Weighted average of the given indicator in total credit portfolio of these banks was 41.4%, 17%, 19.9% and 22% respectively.
