Consumer lending in Armenia grows 2.2% to AMD 206.6 billion

YEREVAN, January 19. /ARKA/. Consumer lending in Armenia grew 2.2% over November to AMD 206.6 billion.

According to the information available on the central bank’s official website, consumer lending made up 17.8% of Armenian commercial bank’s aggregate credit investments in November – no changes, compared with October.

Loans extended in foreign currencies amounted to AMD 28.2 billion and dram loans AMD 178.4 billion in November.

Commercial banks’ credit investments totaled AMD 1116.9 billion, of which 61% were loans extended in foreign currencies. ($1- AMD 388.25). -0-
