Armenian commercial banks provided 18.5 billion drams car loans as of November 30

YEREVAN, January 24. /ARKA/. Commercial banks of Armenia as of November 30, 2011 provided over 18.5 billion drams car loans which is by 2.3% less compared to the end of October, states the site of Armenian Central Bank.

In November, car loans were provided mainly in AMD – 96.8%. Thus, the volume of provided car loans in AMD at the end of November was 17.9 billion drams which is less the indicator of October by 2.2%.

At the same time, volume of consumer loans in the reporting period was over 206.6 billion drams, increased by 2.2% in November.

As of November 30, 2011 Armenia registered 21 commercial banks. ($1 – 387.96 drams). –0–

Central Bank of Armenia maintains refinancing rate due to  balance of supply and demand – Galstyan

The Central Bank of Armenia's Board has opted to keep the refinancing rate steady, primarily because of the balance between supply and demand,  stated  the head of the bank, Martin Galstyan.

As of February 3, 2026, the average exchange rate of the US dollar against the Armenian dram in the Armenian foreign exchange market has risen by 0.59 points from February 2, now standing at 378.44 drams.

Board of the Central Bank of Armenia left the refinancing rate unchanged at 6.50%

At its meeting on February 3, the Board of the Central Bank of Armenia kept the refinancing rate at 6.50%.

Net inflow of money transfers to Armenia from abroad increased by 8.6% in 2025

The net inflow of cross-border remittances to individuals in Armenia, received from abroad through the Armenian banking system, amounted to $1.64 billion in January-December 2025, compared to $1.51 billion in January-December 2024, according to a report from the Central Bank.

EBRD invested record €426 million in Armenia in 2025

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) invested a record €426 million in the Armenian economy in 2025 through 26 projects, the bank's press service reported.
