Average rate on AMD loans increase by 0.7% to 17.6%

YEREVAN, February 21. /ARKA/. The average interest rate on loans in Armenian drams in January this year increased by 0.7 percentage point from 2011 January to 17.6%, the Central Bank of Armenia said in a statement on its official website.

It said the average rate on loans in foreign currency dropped by 1.2 percentage point from a year earlier to 13.6%. The average rate on loans for legal entities decreased by 0.2 percentage points to 12.4% at the end of January, 2012. According to the statement, the average interest rate on loans to individuals increased by 0.1 percentage points to 18.8%. ($1 -388.99 drams).-0-
