Prices for precious metals dropped

YEREVAN, March 12. /ARKA/. Agency “State depository of precious stones and metals” of Armenian Ministry of Finance defined prices for precious metals for the period of March October 12-18, 2012.

The following prices are defined for state purchase and selling prices of one gram of chemically pure metal (for standard bar): gold – buying price – 19479.52 drams (-661.92), selling price – 21173.39 drams (-719.48); silver – buying price – 388.73 drams (-20.26), selling price – 422.53 drams
(-22.02); platinum – buying price – 18934.44 (-695.32), selling price – 20580.91 drams (-755.79); palladium – buying price – 7953.90 drams (-222.19), selling price – 8645.54 drams (-241.51). ($1-389.79 drams). –0-

Loans show faster growth than deposits in December – Finance Ministry

Financial intermediation by the Armenian banking system in December 2024 continued to outpace economic activity, also characterized by a higher growth rate of loans compared to deposits, according to the Armenian Ministry of Finance's report titled "Review of Macroeconomic Developments. December 2024." Unlike December 2023, the growth in loan volumes (24.2%) exceeded the growth in deposit volumes (13.9%).
