Deposits in Armenian banks climb by 1.9% to AMD 1. 033.2 trln in April

YEREVAN, June 1. /ARKA/. Deposits in Armenian commercial banks advance  by 1.9 % in late April to nearly 1. 033.2 trillion drams from March.

According to the information available on the Armenian Central Bank’s official website, deposits in drams totaled in nearly AMD 327.4   billion in April 2012 after slipping  0.2 %, compared with March, and deposits in foreign currencies rose by 2.9 % to nearly AMD 705.9 billion within the reported period.

Residents’ deposits dropped by 0.7 p.p. in April of this year from March  to over AMD 802.1 billion and accounted for 77.6% of aggregate dram deposits in Armenian banks.
